Your generous donation today would help us:
- Reform the gun industry through litigation, allowing victims of gun violence to have their day in court.
- Educate the public about ways to prevent gun violence.
- Enact and enforce sensible regulations to reduce gun violence including regulations governing the gun industry.
The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence was established in 1983, on the philosophy that a combination of educational efforts and initiatives is necessary to effect long-term changes in attitudes and behavior regarding guns and gun violence.
Through partnerships with the law enforcement, health, education, legal and entertainment communities, the Center warns both adults and youth about the dangers of handguns and the heavy responsibility of handgun ownership.
The Center's educational approach to the gun violence problem complements the Brady Campaign's legislative approach -- both are necessary to help alleviate the epidemic of gun violence that is plaguing our country.
