ONE OF AMERICA'S WORST GUN DEALERS
FINALLY SHUTTERED BY THE FEDS;
BILLS IN CONGRESS WOULD HAVE KEPT LOU'S OPEN

Philadelphia, PA (7/31/06) - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced that notorious gun dealer Lou's Loans of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, lost its federal license to sell guns Monday. If legislation the gun lobby has been advancing in the U.S. Congress had already passed, Lou's would still be open for business.

The Brady Center's Legal Action Project brought suit against Lou's on behalf of the family of slain 14 year-old Anthony Oliver, Jr. in July 2005. ATF investigated Lou's and first moved to revoke its license in November 2005.
