U.S. Court of Appeals Strikes Down D.C. Handgun Law

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled, 2-1, that the District of Columbia's restrictive handgun law violates the Second Amendment. On May 8, the Court denied rehearing and D.C. is considering whether to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
